The CCUA has announced that Shannon Salter, Chair of the Civil Resolution Tribunal of Canada as will be the keynote speaker at this year’s annual conference.

This year’s CCUA Conference will be held on Tuesday 17th October at The Birmingham Council House in central Birmingham.

THe CCUA said ”  We are delighted to welcome Shannon Salter, Chair of the Civil Resolution Tribunal of Canada as our keynote speaker. Canada has recently experienced the introduction of an On-Line Court and Shannon has been heavily involved with this initiative. Shannon will be sharing with us her experience of the implementation, both positive and negative factors. It is hoped that this will  greatly assist delegates to understand better the possible practical implications of  the introduction of a planned an online court in this country.”

Following the success of last year’s workshops the CCUA once again be holding three workshops to discuss the new General Data Protection Regulations – by October only  8 months away; Enforcement and an interactive discussion with leading voices from the MoJ and HMCTS.
