FRP Advisory has strengthened its north of England operation with the merger into the partnership of BWC, the Yorkshire and Teesside-based, independent, corporate recovery and insolvency specialists, bringing into the group all of its 16 staff including three partners and four directors.

Led by founding partners Gary Blackburn and Paul Whitwam, David Willis, Martyn Pullin and Peter Scriven, the arrival of the whole team deepens FRP Advisory’s established Leeds presence with the regional business and banking communities. They join the existing FRP Advisory Yorkshire team led by partner Phil Pierce and two directors. Their arrival broadens the partnership’s northern regional spread encompassing also Manchester and Preston offices and where FRP Advisory have in place a total of 35 staff including 12 partners and directors.

The arrival of BWC adds a new office for FRP Advisory in Teesside, where it will continue with BWC’s long-standing presence serving the North-East regional business and lending communities, and will see a continuation also of activity in the local county Durham market and operations in North Yorkshire via an on the-ground-presence in Harrogate.

The merger of the two teams ensures that as part of the wider FRP Advisory partnership, Gary, Paul, David, Martyn and Pete will continue to maintain the same independent relationships with the wider professional services regional communities, whilst benefitting from being part of the FRP Advisory partnership which has established, from a strategic spread of offices, a northern regional and national presence that works closely with businesses and a wide range of lenders and investors.
