Deloitte has announced that it has appointed Martin Chapman as Restructuring Services Director.

Chapman has joined the firm as a director from another ‘big four’ firm, where he was the national sector expert for restructuring in education. His experience includes working with higher education institutions, further education corporations, independent schools, private training providers, lenders to the education sector and the principal government funding agencies.

Deloitte’s Yorkshire and North East restructuring services team is based across the Leeds and Newcastle offices, is now 25-strong and made up of two partners – Clare Boardman and Adrian Berry – plus seven directors, one of which has been promoted and another of which has re-joined the firm.

Kate Rosie has been promoted to director and is the regional leader of Deloitte’s corporate simplification national team focusing her time across the regions.

John Berry has re-joined Deloitte after two years working in industry at a private equity owned business going through a major turnaround.

Clare Boardman, partner and Yorkshire & North East restructuring services lead at Deloitte, said “We continue to invest in the team both in terms of headcount and sector specialisms as we lead clients though periods of financial and operational challenge to establish a path to turnaround. We have the depth of sector and technical expertise to drive success for our clients right here in Yorkshire.”
