The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and WalesChartered Accountants in England and Wales’ (ICAEW has appointed Tyrone Courtman as Chair of its insolvency and restructuring special interest group.
Courtman is a Partner at PKF Cooper Parry has more than 25 years’ experience, leads PKF Cooper Parry’s business restructuring, recovery and insolvency services team across the Midlands. He succeeds Angela Swarbrick, a former restructuring partner at EY, who has stepped down from the role having retired from professional practice.
The insolvency and restructuring special interest group was established in 2012 to provide guidance, support, representation and promotion of the work of ICAEW licensed insolvency practitioners.
Courtman said: “Having been a fellow member of the ICAEW for more than 25 years, I am delighted to be given the opportunity to lead the insolvency and restructuring special interest group at a time when restructuring and insolvency practitioners are facing considerable challenges, both from regulators and the market in which they practice. By listening to the group’s some 1,400 members on the issues and challenges they face, I will work tirelessly to ensure their best interests are being represented and to promote the best of the important work they do.”
