30th June 2026

Financial services consultancy, Broadstone, has announced that it has appointed Daniel Murdoch as a Director in its growing Banking & Credit Advisory division.

Murdoch joins Broadstone from Coventry Building Society, where he was Head of Credit Model Integration. He brings significant experience in risk modelling and an internal-risk-based approach from across the banking and credit markets, having worked previously at Nationwide, Lloyds Banking Group, TSB Bank and Virgin Money.

At Broadstone, Murdoch leads IRB, capital management and model risk engagements, with responsibility for regulatory assessment, model design, development, validation, Pillar 2 and broader model risk strategy. He will join Broadstone’s Banking & Credit advisory division, which has expanded significantly following the acquisitions of Vestigo Partners in 2024 and Rockstead this year, alongside several strategically important senior hires.

Damien Burke, Head of Regulatory Practice in Broadstone’s Banking & Credit Advisory division, said “Daniel is a highly respected risk modelling professional with extensive experience across the banking and credit markets. His expertise in risk modelling, model integration and regulatory frameworks will further strengthen the support we provide to clients as they navigate an increasingly complex environment.

“Daniel’s appointment reflects our continued investment in expanding the depth and breadth of our Banking & Credit Advisory team. As demand for specialist support across credit risk continues to grow, his experience will be invaluable in helping clients achieve their strategic objectives.”
