Creditsafe has announced the opening of its first office in Asia. Headquartered in Tokyo with operations based in Fukuoka, it is the firm’s 18th global office.
In addition to setting up its operation in Japan, Creditsafe is also planning to extend its global database to offer UK businesses information on more than 12 million publicly traded and privately-held Japanese companies.
Cato Syversen, Group CEO, Creditsafe, said “The Japanese market has been restricted in choice for too long and we believe that this has held domestic businesses back in many respects, which is something we now hope to change. As the world’s second biggest market for business credit reports behind the USA, it made most sense strategically to launch our first Asian office here. “Establishing a strong foothold in Asia is vital to our long term growth strategy as we continue to expand our international operations. Our intention is to have over 300 employees in Fukuoka by the end of next year and we are looking to expand further across Asia in the future.”
