Graydon has announced the appointment of Gertjan Kampman as its new Chief Executive Officer as of the 1st of January 2017. Kampman is a senior management member of Atradius, which acquired all shares in Graydon on the 15th of September. He will take over the role of Marcel van Es, who has been responsible for Graydon since the 1st of May 2012. Van Es initiated an important part of the complete transition Graydon is going through. With the arrival of Kampman, a closer commercial collaboration will be developed between both companies.
Kampman has been working for Atradius since 2002 and is currently the Director of Financial Control. As a member of the Supervisory Board and the Chairman of the Audit Committee, Kampman has been closely linked to Graydon since 2011. He therefore knows the company and its strategy very well. Last September, Atradius acquired all shares in Graydon. Kampman’s knowledge about both companies will help them to further develop new commercial opportunities across the globe.
Marcel van Es about his departure: “Gertjan and I have worked very closely together in the past couple of years and I am convinced that he is the right man to navigate Graydon through the next phase and to tighten the relationship with Atradius even further. This will help Graydon to distinguish itself even more in the market.
Kampman will start his new role in January and van Es will stay until the 1st of February to assure a smooth transition. Kampman says: “Marcel van Es has initiated an important transition at Graydon to make the company ready for the future and it has always been a pleasure to work with him. His vision and strategy have been essential for Graydon’s transition and we are therefore grateful for his important contribution”
