For the second year in a row, Intrum has announced that it has arranged a hackathon to promote innovations for financial well-being among European consumers. The hackathon will take place in Madrid on April 3-4, 2019.
The two day-event will have participants from universities, institutions, start-ups and SMEs. The objective is to identify innovation gaps within the field of personal finance and financial education, and to develop solutions to these challenges.
Intrum and its partners will provide data and mentorship throughout the hackathon as support. The initial brief will be provided by top speakers from the industry, sharing insights into trends and tendencies within the personal finance field.
Each team will pitch their final solution to the panel of fintech, customer experience and behavioural science experts. There will be awards for the top 3 solutions and the winning team will have the opportunity to develop its solution together with Intrum.
Intrumhack 2019 will be arranged together with several partner companies, whereof Banco Sabadell, one of Spain’s largest bank, will be the key partner.
Alfonso Ayuso, Chief Innovation Officer of Banco Sabadell said “We strongly believe that the integration of third party products and services will provide new tools in the bank’s platform to enable clients and users to manage their finances more efficiently and achieve financial well-being. All the teams involved will have the opportunity to design innovative solutions that will allow clients to operate within the new competitive and regulatory framework known as “OpenBanking.”
