Debt management firm Lantern has announced that it has appointed Charlotte Symonds as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO).
Symonds joined the company in December, bringing with her twenty years of experience in the financial services sector. She boasts an impressive two-decade career, including a senior role at Nottingham Building Society and a 17-year stint at Yorkshire Building Society, where she rose to Senior Manager of Customer Services. As part of Lantern’s C-suite team, Symonds will play a central role in implementing the company’s strategic vision, improving operational performance and enhancing service delivery.
Symonds will help deliver the company’s commitment to sustainable, long-term growth while maintaining the high standards its customers have come to rely on.
Paul Mason, Lantern CEO, said “We have ambitious plans for Lantern in the year ahead, and our focus remains on making a real difference for credit owners and their customers across the country. Ensuring we have the right leadership in place is vital to achieving this.
“It’s fantastic to welcome Charlotte to the team, whose expertise is already helping to shape our operations to deliver outcomes for our customers facing financial challenges. We’re confident she will play an integral role in helping us continue to support vulnerable people and tackle the UK’s personal debt problem head-on.”
Symonds said “I was drawn to Lantern because of its ambitions and commitment to growth, as well as its customer-centric approach. The work being done here really resonates with my experience and values, and I’m excited to be part of a team that’s focused on making a tangible impact.
“This move represents the next step in my career and I’m looking forward to continuing to contribute to the financial services sector, working alongside a talented group of colleagues, all of whom bring valuable experience and expertise that I can learn from.”
