IE Hub announces new partnership with Healthy Homes Solutions

7th May 2025

IE Hub, the free online budgeting tool, has announced a new partnership with Healthy Homes Solutions (HHS) to support vulnerable and energy-inefficient households in the UK.

This partnership aims to make it easier for anyone feeling vulnerable or households struggling with utility bills to access the resources they need to improve their situation, reduce their carbon footprint, and save money.
As part of this collaboration, the two companies have launched a two-way referral initiative designed to connect IE Hub’s users with HHS’s Vulnerability Initiative (VI).

The VI is a free self-registration and referral service available to UK residents focus on helping vulnerable households identify simple and cost-effective steps to improve energy efficiency, lower carbon emissions, and ultimately save money on living costs.

Through IE Hub’s Additional Support Page, IE Hub customers now have access to referrals to the Vulnerability Initiative and their 22 partners and support services, with over 200 customers having already used it within the first two weeks of launching on the IE HUB platform. This process allows customers in need of support to quickly connect with the Vulnerability Initiative for practical solutions. Similarly, if someone receiving support from HHS’s Vulnerability Initiative discloses money worries/problems, HHS advisors have access to IE Hub’s Partner Portal. They can start the journey for a customer and invite them to self-serve and complete the income and expenditure form.

IE Hub’s Head of Partnerships, Beth Kennedy, said “We are thrilled to be working alongside the Healthy Homes Solutions Vulnerability Initiative to deliver much-needed support to vulnerable households and the homes most in need across the UK.
“Through this partnership, IE Hub is making it easier than ever for UK households – especially those facing financial difficulties and living in energy-inefficient homes – to access the support they need.

“This collaboration is a testament to our shared commitment to helping households manage their finances, improve their living conditions, and reduce their environmental impact.”

Derek Owen, Managing Director at Healthy Homes Solutions, said “We’ve seen fantastic demand for our simple yet highly effective Vulnerability Initiative, with over 20,000 residents self-registering in just 16 months. The success of this programme highlights the real need for accessible solutions to support vulnerable households.

“We’re thrilled to partner with IE Hub and look forward to expanding and evolving this partnership to offer even more tailored support as we move forward, helping even more residents improve their homes and reduce their living costs.”
