Institute of Directors appoints Special Adviser

The Institute of Directors (IoD) has announced the appointment of Liz Barclay as Special Adviser for Small Business and Entrepreneurship.

Barclay will work with the IoD to advise on ways that SMEs can adopt technology to help create a growth mindset and risk appetite which will allow them to succeed.

Jonathan Geldart, Director General of the IoD, said “After four years of advocating for small businesses from within government, I am excited that Liz will now be joining the IoD team.

“SMEs are the lifeblood of the UK economy – driving innovation, creating jobs, and enriching communities. At the IoD, we are committed to championing their growth and ensuring they have a strong voice at the heart of business policy.”
