Debt advice charity, the Money Advice Trust, has announced that it has made two new appointments to its senior leadership team, after new Chief Executive Steve Vaid joined earlier this year.
Damian Chapman joins as Director of Income Generation, whilst Matt Hartley is promoted to Director of Marketing and Engagement, overseeing the charity’s marketing, influencing, communications and insight work.
Chapman brings extensive fundraising experience in a number of third sector roles, most recently as Director of Fundraising and Communications at Charity for Civil Servants. He will take on responsibility for the Money Advice Trust’s fundraising and income generation activities, working closely with current funders, while also looking to develop new partnerships as the charity seeks to achieve even greater impact for people and small businesses who are struggling financially.
Hartley becomes Director of Marketing and Engagement after ten years at the Money Advice Trust, most recently in the role of Head of Influencing. Hartley will lead the charity’s work to raise awareness of their free debt advice services, National Debtline and Business Debtline, as the charity looks to help even more people. He will also oversee the charity’s evolving insight strategy and its continued efforts to influence and improve public policy to tackle and prevent problem debt.
Steve Vaid, Chief Executive of the Money Advice Trust, said “I am thrilled to have Damian and Matt on board. They are taking on their new roles at an important time for the Money Advice Trust, as we develop and embed our new strategy. We are ambitious to do even more to help people in financial distress, and ensure they get the support they need at the right time. The experience and expertise that Damian and Matt bring will be vital to helping us achieve this, working alongside the excellent team here at the Money Advice Trust.”
