Northern Irish business insolvencies increase whilst personal insolvencies fall

Latest monthly statistics from the Insolvency Service have shown that business insolvencies increased, whilst personal insolvencies fell in Northern Ireland in June 2024.

In June 2024 there were 17 business insolvencies registered in Northern Ireland, this was 13% higher than in June 2023. The insolvencies comprised of eight compulsory liquidations, seven CVLs, one CVA and one administration. There were no receivership appointments.

The personal insolvency figures showed that there were 126 personal insolvencies in Northern Ireland. This was 59% lower than in June 2023. There were 87 IVAs, 18 bankruptcies and 21 DROs.
