Northern Irish business insolvencies rise 30% as personal insolvencies fall

Latest monthly statistics from the Insolvency Service have shown that business insolvencies rose whilst personal insolvencies fell in Northern Ireland.

The data showed that In November 2023 there were 26 business insolvencies registered in Northern Ireland, 30% higher than November 2022.

The insolvencies was comprised of six CVLs, 13 compulsory liquidations, five administrations and two CVAs.

Meanwhile, there were 111 personal insolvencies in Northern Ireland, 24% lower than in November 2022.

The insolvencies consisted of 70 IVAs, 21 DROs and 20 bankruptcies.
