Opus Restructuring & Insolvency has announced the appointment of Brendan Clarkson as a Partner. In his new role, Clarkson will lead Opus’ growing Credit Services offering, providing support to creditors and lenders pre- and post-appointment across the firm’s 14 regional offices.
Joining with over 25 years’ experience in creditor services, having worked at several of the UK’s leading accountancy firms, Clarkson brings deep sector knowledge, a strong national profile, and an established network of creditor and lender relationships.
His remit at Opus includes advising funders and trade creditors on recovery options in the event of corporate distress, helping them to navigate complex insolvency and restructuring processes. Brendan has worked with household names including PayPal, Atradius and Lloyds Bank. He is an active member of the Creditor Services industry, sitting on the board of R3’s London and South East Committee and as a member of the Turnaround Management Association. He has also been recognised in Credit Connects Industry Leaders list.
Commenting on his appointment, Clarkson said, “Opus has a great reputation in the market for being very client-focused, which aligns with my approach. I’ve known several of the team for many years, and I’m excited to be joining at a time of significant growth. My goal is to further strengthen our national creditor services team and ensure we continue to provide first-class support to funders, lenders and trade creditors across the UK.”
Tim Dolder, Managing Partner at Opus, said “Brendan’s experience and network are second to none in the creditor services space, and his collaborative approach aligns perfectly with our culture. This appointment is another important step in scaling our national reach and delivering exceptional service to clients across the UK.”
