Scottish business insolvencies fall

Latest figures from the Accountant in Bankruptcy (AiB) have shown that business insolvencies in Scotland fell slightly in August 2025.

The data shows that there were 95 business insolvencies registered in Scotland, which was 7% lower than the number in August 2024.

The business insolvencies comprised of 47 CVLs, 43 compulsory liquidations and five administrations. There were no CVAs or receivership appointments.
