Secure Trust Bank has announced that it has appointed James Appleby as Chief Operating Officer (COO), pending regulatory approval.
Appleby brings over two decades of senior leadership experience in the financial services sector, both in the UK and internationally. He has previously held the COO position for Barclaycard between 2005 and 2008, and then for Vanquis Bank between 2008 and 2020.
More recently he has held the role of CEO for Arrow Global UK, and was MD at Intrum since June 2023.
Appleby is set to take over from Katie Docherty, who has held the role since June 2021.
