TLT appoints debt finance Partner

TLT has hired leading debt finance lawyer Roy Grist as a Partner in its national banking team, further strengthening the service it offers clients in this practice area. 

Grist joins TLT from Squire Patton Boggs, where he led the firm’s banking and finance team in Birmingham for ten years.

A nationally recognised banking lawyer, Grist has over 25 years’ experience advising lenders and borrowers on a mix of national and international corporate transactions including acquisition finance, property and development finance, asset-based finance, restructurings, and joint venture funding. Grist has expertise advising football clubs on high-profile and complex finance matters, alongside clients in the hospitality, retail and financial services sectors.

At TLT, Grist will be supporting the development of the firm’s national banking practice, as well as enhancing its offering across a number of sectors. Although Grist will be based in the Midlands, he will work with the firm’s wider national practices and sectors to develop and grow existing and new client relationships.
