CIVEA announces Excellence Awards winners

30th April 2024

The Civil Enforcement Association (CIVEA) has announced the winners of its Excellence Awards at its gala dinner.

The CIVEA industry awards showcased the best practices in the enforcement sector and highlighted exceptional performance. Notable winners included Carole Kenney from CDER Group in the Women in Enforcement category. JTR Collections (with Acquired) won the Innovation in Enforcement section, whilst CDER Group won the Training and Development category.

The winners were announced following a one-day conference. The conference brought together the enforcement industry, local government, the technology sector, civil service and debt charities to debate issues and share ideas on how, with increased demand for the highest standards, the industry can continue to support central and local government clients. Topical debates ranged from operational challenges like responsible collections and smart enforcement to policy challenges, including independent oversight and sustaining a high-calibre workforce.

Russell Hamblin Boone, CEO at CIVEA said “It’s the tenth anniversary of The Taking Control of Goods Regulations and we know that the regulations have not kept pace with modern enforcement practices. As an industry we have been highly effective, so the conference explored what we more we can learn from experts within and outside our sector to continue to raise standards.”
