Football fans, eager to watch their team compete in the Premier League this season, will have to fork out at least £456 or more over the year to see games on live on television.
New analysis from Comparethemarket.com says Sky is the cheapest option currently available on with Now Broadband. The Brilliant Broadband + Sky Sports Pass Attachment includes access to Sky Sports as well as unlimited broadband, anytime calls and will set football fans back £38 a month for 12 months. There is a catch – the deal is only available for new Now Broadband customers.
The cheapest BT Sports package comes directly from BT. The Starter with BT Sport + Superfast Fibre package includes unlimited data usage and weekend calls. The deal is for 18 months and will cost £49.99 upfront with a monthly cost of £41.99, totalling £553 in the first year. Again, this deal is only available for new customers.
Some footie fans will want the full whammy of coverage across both Sky Sports and BT Sports. However, the penalty for such comprehensive coverage is – unsurprisingly – a steeper price. Virgin Media’s Bigger + Sports bundle comes in at £815 for the first year. This package is only available for new customers.
