Leek United Building Society makes two senior appointments

Leek United Building Society has made two new senior appointments announcements.

Andrew Davies joins as the new Head of Risk and Compliance from the Co-operative Bank, where he was Lead Treasury Risk Manager. He brings to his new role at Leek United more than 30 years’ experience in the financial services industry, which began in retail banking with Barclays.

Moving to Britannia Building Society in 1987, Andrew held a number of positions, culminating in that of Assistant Treasurer, with responsibility for management of assets and liabilities. Following Britannia’s merger with the Co-op in 2009, Andrew played a key role in setting up a risk oversight team to monitor treasury activity.

In addition Chris Collins to the newly created role of Head of Customer Operations. Collins joins from Dudley Building Society where he was head of operations. Prior to that, he spent 25 years with the Coventry, where he was head of business operations.
