The latest monthly statistics from the Insolvency Service have shown that business insolvencies decreased by 35% and personal insolvencies decreased by 8%.
The data shows that in August 2024, there were 11 business insolvencies registered in Northern Ireland, 8% lower than in August 2023.
The total number of company insolvencies comprised of one compulsory liquidation, nine CVLs and one CVA. There were no administrations or receivership appointments.
Personal insolvencies figures showed that there were personal insolvencies in Northern Ireland. This was 35% lower than in August 2023.
There were 67 IVAs, six bankruptcies and 17 DROs.
