Latest monthly statistics from the Insolvency Service show that business and personal insolvencies increased in Northern Ireland in August 2025.

In August 2025, there were 134 personal insolvencies. This was 49% higher than in August 2024. The insolvencies consisted of 109 IVAs, 6 bankruptcies and 19 DROs.

There were 12 business insolvencies, 9% higher than in August 2024. The business insolvencies comprised of 1 compulsory liquidation, 8 CVLs, and 3 administrations.

There were no CVAs or receivership appointments.
