Newlyn appoints new Managing Director

Enforcement specialist Newlyn has announced the appointment of Paul Sharpe as its new Managing Director. Sharpe will join the Newlyn team in January 2019.

Sharpe is a highly experienced figure who, since 1985, has worked within the enforcement industry; firstly with John Crilley and Son and latterly with Equita, where he held the position of Sales and Marketing Director. 

Newlyn are looking to increase its market presence in large commercial projects and see the TfL and HMCTS contracts as ideal areas to achieve this expansion.

In April 2018 the principle directors of the company, Kevin McCarthy and David Smith sought to re-establish the strong owner-operator character of the business by distributing shares to the other senior members of the management team; Michele Fenner, Lucy Sargent, Mary Coyne, Terry Durant, Cheryl Vickers and Adrian White, all who now join Kevin and David as shareholders of Newlyn Group Holdings. McCarthy and Smith will remain involved on a day to day basis but wish to develop other areas of business growth. By securing the services of Paul to compliment the existing set of management skills the board have; Newlyn will be successful in working towards its next period of strategic advancement.

Sharpe will be based from the Northampton Office and; after an introductory period just prior to Christmas; will commence his role full time from the 2nd January 2019.
