The Money Advice Liasion Group (MALG) has announced new appointments to its board following its AGM last week.
Bob Winnington Chief Executive Officer at MALG said “We’re very pleased to announce the appointment of Peter Wallwork, Chief Executive of the Credit Services Association (CSA) and Paul Smee, Chair of the Peer to Peer Finance Association, and the re-appointment of Yvonne Macdermid, Chief Executive of Money Advice Scotland, to our Board. Thank you to Leigh Berkley of Arrow Global for his service to the Board over the last three years”.
“Following Liz Barclay’s decision to stand down from the role of Chair at the AGM, it had been the Board’s intention to appoint a new MALG Chair. Unfortunately, due to illness, the director who was to replace Liz as Chair is currently unable to take up the role. The Board has therefore agreed interim arrangements to ensure that we can maintain proper governance. I am delighted to confirm that Liz has agreed to take on the role once more on a temporary basis. The Board is very grateful to Liz for agreeing to continue to support MALG until such time as we are able to put in place full term arrangements for the Chair.”
“The Board has also appointed Robert Skinner as Vice-Chair of MALG, to support Liz, until we are able to appoint a new Chair.”
