Latest monthly statistics from the Insolvency Service have indicated that Northern Irish business insolvencies and personal insolvency increased.
The figures in December 2022 indicated that there were 15 business insolvencies registered in Northern Ireland, 67% higher than December 2021, but 53% lower than December 2019.
The business insolvencies comprised of 11 CVLs, two compulsory liquidations and two administrations. There were no CVAs or receivership appointments.
There were 123 personal insolvencies in Northern Ireland, 52% higher than in December 2021, and 12% lower than December 2019.
The insolvencies consisted of 109 IVAs, seven DROs and seven bankruptcies.
