IGF appoints Commercial Director

Commercial finance provider, Independent Growth Finance (IGF) has appointed Matt Shepherd as Commercial Director. Shepherd comes to IGF with nearly 20 years experience in finance, with a focus on business development and asset based lending.

As former UK Head of Business Development and Client Management for the ABL division at CYBG, previously Clydesdale and Yorkshire Bank, Shepherd brings with him a wealth of ABL knowledge. Prior to that, Matt spent eight years heading up Business Development for RBS Invoice Finance in London and the South East.

Shepherd will be working alongside Jon Hughes, Senior Director of IGF, who will now focus on strengthening the company’s presence in London, particularly within the private equity and debt advisory communities.

IGF has been funding the growth aspirations of UK businesses since 1997. The company works with businesses with a turnover of £1 million to £100 million with finance provided predominately on a secured basis against receivables, inventory, plant & machinery and property.
