Arun Kohli, Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer for Morgan Stanley has stepped down.

Lawson Turnbull was the Group Chief Operating Officer of EMEA from 2009 to 2011 leading the CEO and COO Management Office supporting the Group Regional CEO. Prior to Wayne’s roles in London since 2009, he was based at UBS in South Africa and was the Group Country Head for Sub Saharan Africa. Lawson Turnbull spent three years in London from 1999 to 2001 as Global Head of the Management Office and Chief of Staff to the Chairman and CEO of the Investment Bank. Prior to this, he was the Managing Partner at JD Anderson and Co.

The UK Finance Board, which is led by Chair Bob Wigley, has been developed to ensure senior and fair representation across the industry. It focuses on issues of importance to retail, SME and wholesale customers including ethics, financial inclusion, financial fraud, crime, access to markets and diversity. Importantly, the consumer voice is also represented on the board via the inclusion of a strong, independent consumer champion.

Commenting on changes to the UK Finance Board, Bob Wigley, Chair of UK Finance, said “Robin’s strong reputation for business and cultural transformation throughout his banking career, alongside Wayne’s sheer breadth of experience will be a great addition to the UK Finance Board. I look forward to working with them and the wider team to continue to promote a strong and representative banking and finance sector that supports customers and underpins sustainable and inclusive economic growth.”

“The Board would like to thank Arun Kohli for his contributions to the success of UK Finance during his term and we look forward to welcoming our two new board members.”
