Compare the Market has announced several new appointments to its Money team, as the much-loved price comparison website continues to expand its choice for customers.

Andy Hancock joined the business in January as Chief Growth Officer to focus on increasing the range of products available to help customers make better financial decisions. Since then, with a primary focus on Money, he has expanded the team, and recently announced a number of new direct lender integrations for credit cards and loans. The latest pivotal appointments further signal an acceleration of ambitions across product lines outside of insurance.

In August, Jameel Lalani will join the business as Commercial Director for Money. He was most recently Chief Product Officer at conveyancing comparison site, Smoove, where he spent almost four years. Prior to that, he spent nearly five years at Moneysupermarket Group, where he held Commercial Director roles covering Mortgages, Banking and MoneySavingExpert. Lalani will take over from Matt Simester, who has been building Money capability on an interim basis since March.

Lalani will be joined by Charlie Evans and Erica Croxford, who will take on the roles of Head of Commercial and Head of Category Management respectively. Evanswas most recently head of Commercial at TotallyMoney. Prior to that, he spent six years at Moneysupermarket Group. Erica has been promoted from within Compare the Market, where she is currently Senior Programme Manager.

Meanwhile, Christine Hull has also joined the team on a permanent basis, having started an interim assignment earlier in the year. Hull previously held senior Product roles at Moneysupermarket group and John Lewis & Partners. She will oversee Product across both Core and Grow products.

Speaking about the appointments, Andy Hancock said “Since January, we have exponentially accelerated our ambitions to offer customers a more comprehensive range of products suitable for their needs. I am delighted to welcome Jameel, Charlie, Erica and Christine to the team to supercharge our progress, enabling us to help people save more money on their household bills.”
