Investors in People (IIP) is the international standard for people management, recognising organisations that work to improve performance and realise objectives through the management and development of its people. Through accreditation, it highlights organisations that go above and beyond to create a positive work environment where people feel valued and supported.

Cifas is a not-for-profit fraud prevention membership organisation, managing the largest database of instances of fraudulent conduct in the UK. It has over 700 members from a diverse range of sectors that share data to reduce instances of fraud and financial crime. Since it was established 35 years ago, Cifas members prevented around £35bn of fraudulent conduct.

Following feedback from staff and an evidence-based review, the IIP gold accreditation recognises the contribution Cifas has made to create a workplace culture that values, empowers, and motivates employees.

Mike Haley, CEO of Cifas, said “With only 26% of organisations being awarded the Investors in People gold accreditation, we recognise the significant achievement this represents – for Cifas, our staff and our members.”

“The award acknowledges our continual investment in developing our people to ensure they have the skills and opportunities to progress their careers, as well as create a workplace that values and empowers each and every one of our people.”

Paul Devoy, CEO of Investors in People, said “We’d like to congratulate Cifas on achieving gold accreditation. This is a fantastic effort for any organisation, and places Cifas in fine company with a host of organisations that understand the value of people.”
