CCI Credit Management wins sixth award in a year

20th September 2019

CCI Credit Management (CCICM) has won the UK Credit Services Association (CSA) Collector Accreditation Initiative (CAI) Award making its the sixth award this year.

The latest win was announced at the CSA gala dinner ceremony in Newcastle. The CSA, which represents over 90% of British credit management companies, recognised that all of CCICM’s registered debt collectors achieved the highest overall, average pass-mark in UK tests.

CAI tests set a benchmark for the industry by annually assessing each collector’s knowledge of compliance, industry rules, regulatory guidance, and the associated legal framework.

CCICM Director Carl Hackman said “We continuously invest heavily in compliance and training and receive a lot of positive feedback from clients, regulators such as the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), and the public. However, we could only have won this CAI award due to our dedicated and hardworking staff, whose professionalism made it possible.

“Our company mission includes creating a working environment that nurtures talent, develops skills, and provides experience, so empowering, enabling, and retaining staff to perform to their full potential. This will ensure our workforce is the most skilled and best supported in the highly-regulated UK credit sector.

“Of course we must remember the CSA, without whom these awards would not be possible and whom continuously strive towards delivering best practice in our industry.”

Leanne Bacigalupo, Compliance and Training Officer at CCICM, said “We are delighted to win this CAI award again – three years after our first – and extremely proud of our collections team for this achievement. It shows we are on track to become a beacon of best practice within the industry, and that fair and ethical treatment of customers is among our core objectives.”

CCICM has also earned five other awards in the last year. Recently 12 managers demonstrated the company’s commitment to providing the highest standards of client care and service by successfully achieving Institute of Leadership & Management Awards. Earlier this year CCICM won an International Finance Award for Best Global Collections Agency, and was re-accredited by Investors In People with Advanced (Gold) until 2021 – one of only 17% in the UK. It also became the first in North Wales to win a prestigious Chwarae Teg FairPlay ‘Leading’ Employer Award for workforce inclusivity and gender equality.

CCICM was re-certified as ISO27001 and ISO9001:2015 compliant for its Quality Management and Information Security systems. It won its first CAI Award and became FCA-registered in 2016.

Hackman added “All of our achievements recognise just how hard we strive to ensure a bespoke service to our clients and their customers worldwide, by providing a great place to work and succeed for anyone with a positive attitude, entrepreneurial aptitude, and willingness to learn.”
