Cifas makes board appointment

Fraud prevention service, Cifas has appointed Abimbola Adesanya to its board under the Board Apprentice scheme.

Adesanya is a senior finance and change management leader with over 25 years’ experience, with much of this spent within the regulated financial services industry. Abimbola’s experience combines technical and commercial experience to successfully lead finance teams and deliver complex change programmes for top tier banks including HSBC, Barclays, Lloyds and TD Securities.

Adesanya joins Cifas as part of the Board Apprentice scheme, which allows individuals to gain first-hand experience of the workings and dynamics on boards.

Commenting on Abimbola’s appointment, Cifas CEO Mike Haley, said “I am delighted to be welcoming Abimbola to the Cifas Board. Her wide range of skills and experience, including in a financial crime environment, will make Abimbola a great asset to the Board and I look forward to working with her as we continue in our fight against fraud.”
