Sigma Connected hits £100,000 donation mark for Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity

8th January 2025

Sigma Connected t has marked a key milestone in its long-term fundraising for Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity.

The collections specialist has now raised £100,000 for the hospital to help support the care it provides for hundreds of thousands of sick children every year across the entire country.

Mike Harfield, Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer at Sigma Connected Group said “As a business, we’ve grown significantly in the past decade, employing over 5,000 people across the UK and in South Africa, and although our staff are nationwide, many of our colleagues are based in Birmingham.

“That growth has allowed us to increase our donations and over the past seven years our staff have shown how much they care by driving a fantastic program of fundraising events.

“Some of our colleagues have used the hospital’s incredible services over the years, so this is our way of saying thank you. To reach £100,000 is wonderful but we have big plans for 2025 and aim to raise even more to help the management team continued to transform every aspect of the hospital.”

Helen Miles, Head of Partnerships at Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity said “We’re absolutely blown away by the kindness and support we’ve received from everyone at Sigma Connected – it’s an invaluable partnership for us.

“To reach the milestone of having raised £100,000 is incredible and we can’t stress enough the impact this will have on our patients. Not only have we been able to invest in the latest technology, we’ve also been able to create child-friendly environments and improve patient experiences. Partnerships like the one we have with Sigma Connected, who not only want to donate, but get involved in events and supporting the children and their families, are very special. We cannot wait to see what this year brings.”
