Opus Business Advisory Group appoints Turnaround Director

Opus Business Advisory Group has announced that it has further strengthened its advisory and turnaround capabilities with the appointment of Heather Bamforth as Director.

Bamford brings more than 20 years of experience supporting businesses through periods of challenge, transition, and growth. She joins Opus following a senior advisory role at KPMG, where she played a key role in re-establishing the firm’s restructuring and turnaround capability. Her career spans Big 4, top-10 and regional accountancy firms, with extensive experience across administrations, CVAs, accelerated M&A and complex stakeholder environments, as well as advisory-led turnaround work across a variety of industries and sectors.

Earlier in her career, Bamford worked on several high-profile administrations, including several well-known retail and consumer brands. In recent years, however, her focus has shifted decisively towards early-stage advisory and value stabilisation, helping business owners to identify issues early, extend their cash runway, thereby enabling them to make informed decisions before formal processes become unavoidable.
