Scottish business insolvencies fall slightly

Latest figures from the Accountant in Bankruptcy (AiB) have shown that business insolvencies in Scotland fell slightly in July 2025

The data showed that there were 116 company insolvencies registered in Scotland, slightly lower than the number in July 2024.

The total number of business insolvencies comprised of 68 CVLs, 43 compulsory liquidations, 4 administrations and 1 CVA.

There were no receivership appointments.
